LEXINGTON — A 39-year-old Lexington male was found deceased in an alleyway during the evening hours of Thursday, June 13.
According to Chief Paul Schwarz, Lexington Police Department, at 6:15 p.m. officers responded to an adult male subject that appeared to be passed out lying next to a building in an alley of the 100 block of W. 6th St.
Members of the Lexington Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene and along with officers, determined the male to be deceased.
The initial scene was processed by the LPD and the initial investigation indicated the male was a 39-year-old Lexington man.
His identity is being withheld until the next of kin has been notified, Schwarz said.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Friday, June 14, 2024. The LPD continues to conduct follow-up investigations regarding the incident.
“Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time,” Schwarz said.
