ARKANSAS – The Kearney Legion Seniors ended their Chad Wolf Classic tournament run in Arkansas in a 16-6 loss to the US National Scouts squad Saturday afternoon.
The loss dropped the Misko Seniors to 3-2 over the weekend.
Kearney and the US National Scouts were locked in at 2 runs each by the end of the second inning, as the Misko Seniors aimed to keep their momentum going. Kearney added four runs in the third, but the Nationals team responded by scoring eight runs in the bottom of the third, then added six runs by the bottom of the fourth to close out the contest.
Rydge Jackson, Huston Arnold, and Kaleb Larson all contributed on the mound for Kearney. Jackson earned the start, going 2.2 innings, allowing two hits, 9 runs, six earned, eight walks, and one strikeout.
The Misko Seniors ended scoring six runs on five hits with four errors while the US National Team totaled sixteen runs on three hits.
Kole Throckmorton and Bryce Anderson each added 2 RBI, while Jacob Hansen added one.
Kearney returns home and faces a rematch on Tuesday hosting Grand Island Home Federal for their fan appreciation night at Memorial Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 PM with KGFW’s pregame coverage starting at 7:15.
