The College World Series opening three days saw excellent action and memorable finishes since opening play on Friday afternoon.
Sunday showcased the first elimination game of the tournament, as Florida State’s run at the College World Series is not over yet. The Seminoles defeated ACC rival Virginia, 7-3 in a win-or-go-home game in Omaha on Sunday.
In the nightcap Drew Beam dialed it back and Kavares Tears left the yard – both leading Tennessee to a 6-1 win over North Carolina Sunday night from Charles Schwab Field in the College World Series.
In today’s action, another elimination matchup features NC State against Florida at 1 PM, while the winner’s bracket sets up Kentucky and Texas A&M at 6 PM.
