HASTINGS — The City of Hastings Independence Day celebration begins 5:30 p.m., July 4 at Brickyard Park on West D Street.

Food and drink will go on sale at 5:30 p.m.

Hastings Parks and Recreation will also hold a tailgating challenge beginning at 5:30 p.m. We will offer a handful of yard games and fun challenges for the whole family. Perform well and win a prize!

Musician Rascal Martinez will take the stage at 7 p.m. After the sun sets, we will light up the sky with our annual fireworks show.
The rain date will be July 5 with times remaining the same.

The Hastings Aquacourt Water Park, 2200 W. Third St., will close at 4 p.m., but entrance fees are half off all day.

The annual 4th of July Parade at Fisher Fountain at the City of Hastings North Denver Station, 1228 N. Denver Ave., is organized by the YWCA of Adams County. Activities and games will take place 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The kids parade around the fountain – including decorated bikes, strollers and scooters – starts at noon. Barbecue and raffle sales will support YWCA programs.
