GRAND ISLAND – A committee has recommended that Chief Industries be selected as the construction manager at risk for an addition to the Hall County Courthouse.

Hall County Board of Commissioners Chairman Ron Peterson made the announcement at the Tuesday, July 2, board meeting.

Commissioners voted 5-2 to have an agreement prepared and bring back to the July 16 board meeting for approval.

Commissioners Gary Quandt and Karen Bredthauer voted no. Both said they supported Chief Industries but wanted to see a stand-alone addition to the courthouse rather than addition that is attached to the courthouse.

Roger Bullington of Chief Industries was at the meeting and briefly addressed the commissioners.
