GRAND ISLAND — A Grand Island man was arrested after a three-month-old child suffered a possible head injury.
According to the Grand Island Police Department, officers were dispatched to CHI St. Francis for a belated report for child abuse of a three-month-old infant male.
The infant was transferred to the Children’s Hospital in Omaha for further evaluation of a possible head injury.
The GIPD would later arrest Luis Pernia Mendoza for child abuse – no serious bodily injury and book him into the Hall County Department of Corrections.
