HASTINGS — M Street will be closed for storm sewer work, grading and paving a new 37-foot wide section of concrete pavement leading to the new Adams County Jail.
The project includes about 900-feet. The closure will be from U.S. 281 Highway to the jail’s east property line.
M Street is currently unpaved.
Contractor Diamond Engineering of Grand Island will close that portion of M Street either on Monday, July 15.
The project is anticipated to take about three weeks to complete.
The road will be closed to through traffic at Lexington Avenue on M Street. “Road closed” signs will be placed at both ends of the project, but limited access will be maintained to the jail from the east.
