GRAND ISLAND — The Grand Island Police are investigating after five rings, valued over $7,000, were stolen from the Sam’s Club location during the evening of Monday, July 15.

According to the Grand Island Police Department, at 7:08 p.m., officers responded to Sam’s Club at 1510 N. Diers Ave. in refence to shoplifting.

It was reported that an adult female distracted an employee while at the jewelry case. An adult male would then break into the case and stole five rings from the display valued at $7,265.

Both the male and female would exit the building and left the area in a vehicle.

The case is currently under investigation.
