The Kearney Misko Seniors had their season come to a close at the A7 Seniors District Tournament in Scottsbluff.
The Misko Seniors fell to the North Platte FNBO Nationals on Friday, 7-6. They were scheduled to play the Grand Island Home Federal Seniors on Saturday, but the game was pushed to Sunday morning after severe weather forced the rest of the day’s baseball to be called off. The Sunday morning game would go in favor of Home Federal, 6-4.
The Misko Seniors ended their 2024 campaign with a record of 18-15.
The Kearney Pinnacle Bank Juniors are in Tuesday’s A& Juniors District Tournament in Hastings. The Pinnacle Bank Juniors defeated the North Platte FNBO Juniors 15-0 in the opening round, a 7-6 win over the Grand Island Five Points Bank Juniors in the second round, and won over Hastings Johnson Imperial Homes 6-1 to advance to the Championship. The Juniors will play the winner of Hastings and the Scottsbluff WESTCO Express for the A7 Juniors Championship on Tuesday.
