HASTINGS — The Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce its stewardship of the beloved Celebration of Lights event, previously organized by the Downtown Center Association.
Following the dissolution of the Downtown Center Association as of December 31, 2023, the Chamber of Commerce has stepped in to ensure the tradition continues for the community of Hastings.
This year’s Celebration of Lights will take place in Downtown Hastings, spanning both 1st and 2nd Streets, on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event promises to delight attendees with a host of new attractions and experiences aimed at bringing joy and holiday spirit to all who attend.
“We are thrilled to take on the organization of the Celebration of Lights,” said Mikki Shafer, Assistant Director of the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce. “This event has been a cherished tradition in our community, and we are committed to building upon its success while introducing exciting new elements for everyone to enjoy.”
The Celebration of Lights has long been a highlight of the holiday season in Hastings, drawing families and visitors alike to enjoy festive decorations, entertainment, and the spirit of togetherness that defines this special time of year. With its new leadership under the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce, this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever.
