GRAND ISLAND — A woman who has more than five prior convictions for shoplifting was arrested after law enforcement say she stole lottery tickets from a Grand Island CVS on Tuesday, July 23.
According to the Grand Island Police Department, Shawn Tufino was identified as a subject in a reported shoplifting case at a CVS pharmacy.
Tufino was identified through a video of the incident and could bee seen taking lottery tickets from the counter and hiding them in her basket.
Upon being confronted by the cashier, Tufino denied having them and left the store once a manager was contacted. She was later located and arrested for shoplifting – third offense or more, by GIPD officers.
Per the GIPD, Tufino has more than five prior convictions for shoplifting in Nebraska.
