GRAND ISLAND – The wife of the Greeley County Sheriff is charged in Hall County Court with assaulting her daughter.
Daniela Deaver, 53, of Ord is charged with misdemeanor third-degree assault of Kathleen Deaver on May 16. An arraignment has been scheduled for 2 p.m. Aug. 14 before Hall County Judge Arthur Wetzel.
Daniela Deaver’s husband is Greeley County Sheriff Paul Deaver.
Kathleen Deaver filed for a protection order against her mother on May 20 in Hall County District Court.
According to the protection order, at approximately 9 pm. May 17, Daniela Deaver came into Kathleen Deaver’s home unannounced. Daniela Deaver started yelling, pointing at her daughter, and “put her hands around my neck.” A man pulled her off and forced her to leave.
“I think she wanted to kill me or beat me into submission for what I said online,” Kathleen Deaver wrote in the protection order.
