GRAND ISLAND — A check made out for $9,990 was reported at the Equitable Bank in Grand Island on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
According to the Grand Island Police Department, at 12 p.m., officers responded to a report of fraud at Equitable Bank, 113 Locust St.
Fraud prevention at the branch advised that a fake check was made in the amount of $9,990 with one of their client’s accounts and cashed in Alabama.
GIPD stated that the total loss was $9,990 and Equitable is the victim in the case, which remains under investigation.
