Kearney Public Schools (KPS) is proud to announce a new partnership with The Buckle, Inc. (Buckle), one of Kearney’s leading businesses, as the official sponsor of the Bearcat Striv Network (BSN). This five-year agreement will enhance the visibility and reach of KPS athletics and activities through the Bearcat Striv Network, starting August 1, 2024 and continuing through July 31, 2029.

Under this agreement, Buckle will secure exclusive sponsorship rights for BSN broadcasts. This partnership will ensure that Buckle’s brand is prominently featured across various media platforms associated with Kearney High School’s athletic events. In addition to the sponsorship, Buckle will continue to support the KHS Booster Club and the KPS Foundation’s Class Act program, further demonstrating its dedication to the local community.

“Buckle’s continued growth and success is rooted in teamwork, collaboration, and a strong sense of community,” said Tom Heacock, Buckle’s Chief Financial Officer. “We are excited to further partner with KPS and BSN in support of our local teams and athletes. Together, we are committed to empowering the next generation through sports, education, and community engagement, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to excel both on and off the field.”

Ryan Hogue, Kearney Public Schools Athletic Director, expressed his excitement about the new partnership: “Buckle has always been a strong supporter of our school and community, and we’re thrilled to have them as the exclusive sponsor of the Bearcat Striv Network. This sponsorship not only provides essential funding for our media programs but also enhances the production quality and reach of our broadcasts, allowing us to showcase our students’ talents to a broader audience. We are committed to growing our overall media productions program at Kearney High School.  We look forward to working closely with Buckle to create engaging and dynamic content that highlights both our activities at KHS and their long-standing commitment to our community.”

KPS Superintendent Jason Mundorf highlighted the significance of this partnership: “This agreement with Buckle is a perfect example of how local businesses can positively impact our schools. The support from Buckle will allow us to continue delivering high-quality broadcasts of our events, showcasing the achievements of our students both on and off the field. It’s partnerships like this that help us maintain the strong connection between our schools and the community, ensuring that we can provide exceptional experiences for our students and their families.”

“This partnership goes beyond just advertising,” said Mundorf. “It’s about building a stronger connection between our schools and the community, and Buckle has consistently shown their commitment to that goal. We’re grateful to have Buckle’s support and look forward to seeing the positive impact this partnership will have on our students, staff, and the entire Kearney community.” Mundorf added.
