KEARNEY — The City of Kearney Utilities Department in conjunction with Great Plains Communications announces that the downtown alley between 3rd Avenue and 2nd Avenue, from 21st Street to North Railroad Street will be closed starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, 2024.
The alley will be closed to all traffic for telecommunication work, and all will be fully reopened to traffic by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024, weather and construction permitting.
Motorists are asked to use caution in the area and to watch for construction workers and equipment. If an alternate route is possible, we recommend that motorists use the alternate route.
