KEARNEY — After 22 years of serving the Kearney community, Skeeter Barnes announced on Friday Aug. 23 that the location will be closing permanently.
“We have had a devastating loss of an absolutely key member of our team and we just don’t see any way to carry on in the current environment,” Skeeter Barnes posted on social media.
“We want to thank you all of you, from the bottom of our hearts, for all the support the community has shown us for the past 22 years. The Family Dinners, the Anniversary Meals, the Wedding Caterings, the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Ball, sports teams, and endless other wonderful meals. it has been an amazing adventure,” Skeeter Barnes posted.
Skeeter Barnes had noted that due to the loss of one of their key staff members, they would not open on Friday, later announcing their permanent closure in the evening.
