GRAND ISLAND — Heartland United Way is thrilled to join the Grand Island Welcoming Week celebrations, taking place from Sept. 13 to Sept. 22.

This initiative, dedicated to fostering an inclusive community, brings together public and private organizations along with local residents to support and celebrate Grand Island’s immigrant and refugee populations, while promoting a culture of welcome and belonging.
As part of these celebrations, Heartland United Way is excited to announce a special event: the 4th Street Business Tours.

On Monday, Sept. 16, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., we will partner with Sandra Barrera, Rural Prosperity Nebraska Extension Educator at the UNL Extension Office, to guide participants through a tour of 11 diverse businesses along 4th Street in Grand Island.

This event offers a unique opportunity to explore the vibrant and varied businesses that contribute to our community’s rich cultural tapestry.

We invite everyone to experience the diversity and dynamism of Grand Island’s local economy while connecting with fellow community members.
