Nebraska picked apart Colorado in the first half, leading 28-0 going into the locker room and prevailed in front of 86,906 fans at Memorial Stadium on Saturday night.

The Huskers started off by forcing Shadeur Sanders backwards on the opening drive, and after the punt, Nebraska worked flawlessly to score, only needing three minutes to do so on a Dante Dowdell 12 yard rushing touchdown.

Colorado wouldnt get the momentum to gain any positive yardage in the first quarter, ending the quarter with negative two yards (-27 rush yards to 25 pass yards). Nebraska would use their defense to score later in the first quarter, with Tommi Hill stepping in front of a Sanders pass at the seven yard line for another touchdown.

The Huskers would double up on scoring in the second quarter as well, with Dowdell punching in a score from the 1 yard line, and a Rahmir Johnson reception from Dylan Raiola that he bobbled before hauling into the endzone in the final minute.

The Huskers were subdued in the second half, as Nebraska was forced to punt on all five of their second half possessions. After two quarters where Nebraska was able to gain over 100 yards of offense, they were limited to 94 yards in the third and 27 yards in the fourth. Colorado would score a field goal in the third and a Sanders touchdown to LaJohntay Wester in the fourth quarter.

Dylan Raiola had a clean pocket, not being sacked on 23-30 passing for 185 yards and a touchdown. Colorado’s offensive line allowed six sacks, five on Sanders, as he went on the night while going 23-38 for 244 yards.

The Huskers will look to go to 3-0 next Saturday against Northern Iowa. Kickoff is set for 6:30PM, and can be heard on both KGFW and Hits 106.
