16-year-old cited for creating fear of school shooting through Snapchat post

GRAND ISLAND — A 16-year-old male was cited for terroristic threats after a Snapchat post created the fear of a possible school shooting at Grand Island Senior High.

According to the Grand Island Police Department, a 16-year-old male created and posted a picture on Snapchat that others feared hinted at a possible school shooting at GISH.

Officers contacted the student who would admit to creating the post.

The student was cited for terroristic threats and then released to his mother.
