KEARNEY — The 2024 UNK Homecoming Parade was held in downtown Kearney during the morning of Saturday, Oct. 12.
Area businesses, nonprofits, political candidates and marching bands all took part, along with various UNK groups.
“This year’s theme is Louie’s Harvest Homecoming, focusing on not only nature’s gifts during the fall season but an opportunity for the campus and community to come together,” said Renae Zimmer, director of UNK Student Engagement. “For alumni, the best part of homecoming is not the place but the people we come back to. For the UNK community, it’s where the past meets the present and memories are made.”
