Water and Wellness: Panel on Sustainable Land Practices in Grand Island

GRAND ISLAND — Please join Conservation Nebraska for an informative panel-style event on sustainable land practices, highlighting water conservation.

This panel features three local experts who are eager to share their knowledge and available resources for Nebraska landowners and agriculturalists as well as the general public.

Featured Speakers: (1) Robert Lawson is the State Conservationist for Nebraska USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). He oversees technical and financial assistance to farmers, ranchers, private landowners and local communities of soil, water, wildlife, and other natural resources. (2) Cait Caughey is Senior Beginning Farmer and Market Associate at the Center for Rural Affairs (CFRA) and runs the Beginning Farmer Conservation Fellowship program. (3) Hannah Sidel serves as the Communications Director for Nebraska Land Trust (NLT), a statewide land trust dedicated to the permanent conservation of privately owned lands.

The event will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 6-8 p.m. at Raising Nebraska, located at 501 East Fonner Park Road Suite 100 in Grand Island, as well as virtually through Zoom.
