KEARNEY — On October 25, 2024, the Kearney Police Department was notified the 62 -year-old shooting victim died while in the ICU at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Our condolences are with the family and friends of the victim.
Kearney Police Investigators will attend a scheduled autopsy and consult the Buffalo County Attorney’s Office in reference to potential amending of criminal charges pending autopsy results.
The suspect, Karen Geisler, remains in the custody of the Buffalo County Jail. Additional details will be released as available. This remains an active investigation, anyone with information is asked to contact the Kearney Police Department at 308.237.2104.
