KEARNEY CO. — A male passenger was killed as the result of a two-vehicle accident in rural Kearney County during the morning hours of Tuesday, Nov. 5.
According to the Kearney County Sheriff’s Office, at 10:18 a.m., they received multiple 911 calls related to two vehicle accident with injuries near the intersection of County Road 23 and County Road B.
The drivers of both vehicles were transported to CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney with serious injuries.
A male passenger in one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident is being investigated by the Nebraska State Patrol with assistance from the Kearney County Sheriff’s Office and Kearney County Attorney’s Office.
Assistance at the scene was provided by the Wilcox Fire Department, the Hildreth Fire Department, Good Samaritan EMS and the Kearney County Road Department.
More information will be provided pending notification of the next of kin and the completion of the investigation.
