KEARNEY — The City of Kearney announces that the following streets will be closed on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024, beginning at 8 a.m.:
- 24th Street from A Avenue to Central Avenue; and
- Central Avenue from 24th Street to Railroad Street.
Additional Closures for Setup/Staging
- 24th Street from A Avenue to E Avenue;
- 23rd Street from A Avenue to E Avenue;
- B Avenue from 22nd Street to 24th Street;
- C Avenue from 25th Street to Railroad Street and
- D Avenue from 25th Street to Railroad Street.
The purpose of the closure is to conduct the Veterans Day Parade. Staging for the parade will begin at 8 a.m., with the parade beginning at 11 a.m. The special event is being sponsored by the VFW Post 759.
