KEARNEY — Veterans Day Holiday Refuse Collection Schedule The City of Kearney Sanitation Division announces that due to the upcoming Veterans’ Day Holiday, Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, the following changes will be in effect for the refuse collection system and the Kearney Area Solid Waste Agency Landfill for the week of Nov. 11.
Residential Collection:
• Residential refuse collection will be delayed one day.
• Yard waste collection will be delayed one day.
• Recycling collection will remain on schedule.
Commercial Collection:
• Trash collection scheduled for Monday will be collected on Tuesday.
• Cardboard collection will remain on schedule.
Closings:
• The Kearney Area Recycling Center, located at 3007 East 39 Street, will be closed on Monday, November 11.
• The Solid Waste Agency Landfill and Compost/Tree Site, located at 6711 West 56 Street, will be closed Monday, November 11.
