GRAND ISLAND — A case of gift card fraud was reported in Grand Island on Wednesday, Nov. 13.
According to the Grand Island Police Department, officers responded to Meves Ave for a call for service regarding fraud.
A 65-year-old woman reported that a suspect had called them and had them purchase Walmart gift cards in the amount of $1,5550.00.
The suspect told the woman that if she didn’t send the gift card information, an arrest warrant would be issued.
The GIPD is investigating the case.
