GRAND ISLAND – Construction of Target on the south side of Conestoga Marketplace is underway, with a crane putting prefabricated concrete walls into place.
“We’re excited to bring an easy, affordable and convenient shopping experience to new guests in the Grand Island community with this new Target store, said Loni Monroe of Enterprise Communications, a spokesperson for Target. “The store will be approximately 148,200 square feet. As we get closer to opening the store, we’ll have more specific details to share – including how the shopping experience will be tailored to serve local guests and the grand opening date.”
Monroe declined to give an estimate of a construction completion date.
Work is also underway on a theater complex on the northwest corner of Conestoga Marketplace.
Mitch Hohlen, director of development with Woodsonia Real Estate, which is developing Conestoga Marketplace, did not return a voice message or email response.
