HASTINGS — The City of Hastings Parks & Recreation Department is once again holding its Holiday Lights Contest. This contest is a free event and is limited to the first 20 homes that sign up.
Registrations are due Dec. 6. The judging will take place December 11-16. Please have your holiday lights on display. The winner will be announced on Dec. 19.
Judging will be based on creativity, holiday spirit, and overall appearance. The overall winner will be determined by having the most likes on the Hastings Parks & Recreation Facebook page. A like is worth 1 point, comments are worth two points and shares are worth three points.
The winner will receive $20 Chamber bucks, four movie tickets to Golden Ticket Cinemas, two ice cream cones from Runza, and two single-topping personal pan pizzas from Pizza Hut.
