GRAND ISLAND — A man was arrested for first degree sexual assault of a minor in Grand Island on Thursday, Dec. 5.
According to the Grand Island Police Department, officers responded to an address following the report of a sexual assault that took place.
Officers spoke with a 16-year-old girl who reported that while visiting Lucian Martinez at his residence, he sexually assaulted her.
The 16-year-old stated that Martinez provided her marijuana and while she was under the influence and at times incoherent, he sexually assaulted her. Martinez continued to sexually assault her even after she told him to stop multiple times, according to police.
She also reported that Martinez has sexually assaulted her in 2023 when she was 15 years old prior to the start of the school year, but she had not made a report due to Martinez making threats of violence toward her and her family if she made a report.
The 16-year-old also reported observing multiple controlled substances in Martinez residence where she was assaulted.
Martinez was arrested for first-degree sexual assault – victim 16-years-old, first-degree sexual assault – victim 15-years-old, terroristic threats, distribution of marijuana and child abuse.
