GRAND ISLAND — This holiday season, UScellular continues to give back to the community with a $1,500 donation of sports equipment to the Grand Island YMCA.
The Grand Island YMCA’s mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. The YMCA makes accessible the support and opportunities that empower people and communities to learn, grow and thrive. With a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the YMCA nurtures the potential of every child and teenager, improves the nation’s health and well-being and provides opportunities to give back and support neighbors.
UScellular’s donation of volleyballs, volleyball nets, scooters and a sports equipment cart support the YMCA’s youth development mission by providing essential resources for their programs. This contribution enhances the YMCA’s ability to offer engaging, high-quality sports experiences that help young people build confidence, develop teamwork and foster a love for physical activity.
As part of UScellular’s Gift of Connection program, the Grand Island YMCA donation is among 50 gifts to nonprofits across the country. The company will help organizations by providing needed supplies in gratitude for their dedication to building connection through art, music and sports in their local communities.
