KEARNEY — Kearney Public Schools is excited to announce that kindergarten enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year is now open.
Families are encouraged to enroll their child early to secure a spot and begin the journey of lifelong learning with KPS.
Due to projected high enrollment numbers, voluntary transfer and option student application approvals may be limited or closed for the 25-26 and 26-27 school years.
Children who will be five years old on or before July 31, 2025, are eligible to enroll in kindergarten. To complete the enrollment process, families are required to provide the following:
- Proof of child’s age (birth certificate or other legal documentation)
- Proof of residency within the KPS district
- Current immunization records
Enrollment can be completed online at https://www.kearneypublicschools.org or in person at the Kearney Public Schools District Office at 320 West 24th Street.
Families are encouraged to enroll early to ensure adequate preparation and placement for the upcoming school year.
