GRAND ISLAND — The Grand Island Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals program is hosting the 9th annual State of the City Address Fri., Feb. 7, 2025 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Venues on South Locust (1607 S Locust Street, Suite A, Grand Island, NE 68801).

This informative morning will provide the public with an opportunity to hear from community leaders about current pressing issues and initiatives happening in the community. The State of the City Address is free and open to the public.

Presenters include:

  • Mayor Roger Steele, Mayor of Grand Island
  • Ron Peterson, Hall County Board of Commissioners Chairman
  • Dr. Marcie Kemnitz, Central Community College Grand Island Campus President
  • Kyler Tarwater, VenuWorks Executive Director
  • Brad Mellema, Grand Island Tourism Executive Director
  • Tonja Brown, Grow Grand Island Chair

This event provides a unique opportunity for Grand Island and Hall County residents to hear from key elected officials and development representatives on issues of importance to the people. Attendees get to hear from these organizations all at one time, in one place.
