KEARNEY — The City of Kearney Public Works Department announces that beginning Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 6:30 a.m., 48th Street will be closed to traffic from 2nd Avenue to 3rd Avenue for traffic signal repairs.
Barring unexpected delays, the street is expected to reopen by 8:30 a.m. the same day. Due to the often-heavy volume of traffic in the area, motorists are urged to use extreme caution when traveling through the work zone, stay off cell phones, and be aware of equipment and crew members.
