KEARNEY — On Monday, April 14, 2025, the Kearney Police Department (KPD) opened a missing person investigation after receiving a report that Jamie Elrod, 32, had not been heard from since April 6.
KPD investigators determined Ms. Elrod had traveled voluntarily to Denver, Colorado, with a friend. That information was confirmed when the Denver Police Department (DPD) advised KPD that DPD officers had contact with Ms. Elrod on April 14 during an unrelated incident.
She was released at the scene and, at that time, appeared to be safe and unharmed.
KPD remains in communication with DPD and, based on all available information, does not believe Ms. Elrod is in danger.
