GRAND ISLAND — A suspect was booked for witness tampering during a phone call from the Hall County Department of Corrections on Wednesday, April 30.
According to the Grand Island Police Department, an officer was reviewing jail calls as a part of an investigation.
During the review, it was determined that Ibal Gonzalez had instructed a witness, a 32-year-old woman, to lie to the police about his alibi in a case. The jail phone calls are recorded.
Gonzalez was booked for witness tampering.
