GRAND ISLAND — A suspect was arrested after assaulting another man with a screwdriver in Grand Island during the evening of Thursday, May 1.
According to the Grand Island Police Department, at 10:17 p.m., officers responded to the area of W. 5th St. in reference to an assault that had occurred.
Officers contacted a 43-year-old male who advised them that Faysal Hirsi had hit him with a screwdriver. It was observed the man was bleeding from his hand and had a visible injury.
The 43-year-old also said that Hirsi threatened to kill him during the incident.
Hirsi was located at 3rd and Clark where he was arrested for second degree assault, terroristic threats and two counts of use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
