GRAND ISLAND — A suspect was arrested for child abuse after leaving a two-year-old in a vehicle while they were inside the Grand Island Casino during the afternoon of Friday, May 2.
According to the Grand Island Police Department, officers responded to the Grand Island Casino in reference to a child that had been left alone in a vehicle.
During the investigation, officers found that the child’s father, Amilcar Landaverde Roque had left the two-year-old in the car unattended without supervision, while he was inside playing games in the casino, according to the GIPD.
Roque was arrested for child abuse.
