According to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred at 2:45 a.m. on Highway 79 near West Bluff Road.
A 2004 Ford Escort driven by Zacharie Cloutier, 20, of Grand Island was southbound on the highway when the vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and struck a semi-tralier head-on.
