KEARNEY — CHI Health Good Samaritan is being recognized on a global scale for creating a healthy work environment where nurses feel empowered and valued. The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) has designated Good Samaritan as a Pathway to Excellence organization–only 253 hospitals worldwide have achieved this prestigious honor.
The Pathway designation recognizes Good Samaritan’s effort to enhance quality of care, patient and nursing safety and the future of health care delivery. Pathway nurses are engaged, resulting in higher job satisfaction, reduced turnover, improved safety, and better patient outcomes.
“This honor reflects Good Samaritan’s commitment to a collaborative workplace that empowers and gives a voice to our staff,” says Kimber Bonner, vice president, patient care services. “Our nurses embody the highest standards in nursing practice. Their active engagement in all aspects of the hospital, from staff satisfaction to patient safety, leads to better patient care and outcomes. I’m incredibly proud of the sustained culture of excellence we’ve created together.”
