On May 27, 2025, at approximately 7:54 pm, the York Police Department and the York Fire Department were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover crash in the McDonald’s parking lot at 4012 S. Lincoln Ave.
As we continue in this investigation, video has been obtained which shows the vehicle exited the 180 westbound ramp and continued west across the four Hwy 81 lanes of traffic prior to rolling multiple times and coming to rest in the McDonald’s parking lot.
The two occupants in the vehicle have been identified as the driver, Darrel Lottes, age 75 from York, NE.; and passenger, Linda Lottes, age 71 from York.
Both individuals were transported from the scene by York Fire Department to York General Hospital for further medical care, where Darrel Lottes later died.
