BROKEN BOW — Weather permitting, work will begin June 16 on Nebraska Highway 2 (N-2), from reference post 270 to reference post 278, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Paulsen, Inc., of Cozad, is the contractor for this project. Work includes grading, seeding, guardrail, electrical, milling and asphaltic concrete overlay. Traffic will be maintained with lane restrictions and a pilot car and flaggers. A 12-foot width restriction will be in effect. Anticipated completion is Oct. 2025.

The purpose of this project is to preserve the transportation asset, improve the reliability of the transportation system and perpetuate the mobility of the traveling public.

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
