LINCOLN — Lincoln Police and Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to the area of 11th and Hill Street about 5:45 a.m. this morning on a report of gunshots. That location is near 10th and Van Dorn. LPD says officers arrived and found a 14-year-old boy with non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a local hospital.
Shortly afterwards, LPD says a 15-year-old boy arrived at a local hospital with life-threatening gunshot wounds and is receiving treatment. Police say the two incidents are believed to be related. Guns have been recovered from this incident.
No other individuals are being sought at this time, and LPD does not believe there is a threat to the public at this time. Hill Street between 11th and 12th will remain closed while investigators work the scene.
