HOLDREGE — The 50th Annual Midsummer Festival (a Swedish Days Tradition) will officially begin on Thursday, June 19 from 6–7  p.m. with the Mayor’s Proclamation and Prayer Kickoff, presented by New Life Church and the Phelps County Community Foundation.

Held on the Phelps County Courthouse Lawn, this family-friendly event is 100 percent free and open to the public.
Guests can enjoy:

  • Free hot dogs, chips, and yard games provided by New Life Church
  • A bounce house for young children
  • Ice cream floats provided by the Phelps County Community Foundation
  • The official Midsummer Festival Proclamation from Holdrege Mayor Liffrig
  • Words from Representative Adrian Smith

This event sets the tone for a weekend of celebration, community connection, and honoring Holdrege’s Swedish Days tradition in its 50th year.
