GRAND ISLAND — The suspect accused of trespassing and third-degree assault was arrested after they fled a traffic stop in Grand Island on Monday, June 16.

According to Grand Island Police Department, officers responded to an address on Sheridan Place in reference to a known male who was trespassing into the residence while the doors were shut and unlocked.

The GIPD identified the male as Anneudis Arias Pena and allegedly made threats in a menacing manner to a 49-year-old woman. By the time officers arrived on scene, Arias Pena was no longer on scene.

Arias Pena’s was later located, and a traffic stop was initiated near 3rd and Madison. The vehicle continued eastbound and failed to stop after emergency lights and sirens were activated. The traffic stop would be terminated.

The vehicle was later found unoccupied and towed. Arias Pena was later located walking near 4th and Clark.

The GIPD said Arias Pena was arrested for trespassing, third degree assault – menacing manner, felony flight to avoid arrest and no operator’s license.
