BROKEN BOW — Weather permitting, work originally scheduled for June 16 will now begin July 7 on Nebraska Highway 2 (N-2), from reference post 270.33 to reference post 277.87, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Paulsen, Inc., of Cozad, is the contractor for this project. Work includes milling, asphalt overlay, earth shoulder construction and seeding. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers, and a pilot car. A 12-foot width restriction will be in effect.

Anticipated completion is Sept. 2025.

The purpose of this project is to preserve the transportation asset, improve the reliability of the transportation system and perpetuate the mobility of the traveling public.

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
