KEARNEY — Kearney Community Learning Center (KCLC) is saddling up for summer fun with its annual Horse Camp for kids!

Held every Monday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Christinas Horseback Riding, this unique camp offers students hands-on learning with horses in a safe and supportive environment.

Campers learn the basics of horse care, grooming, safety, and riding skills—all while building confidence and responsibility through their interactions with these gentle animals.

“The KCLC Horse Camp is one of the most anticipated summer experiences we offer,” said KCLC Coordinator, Tasha Maloley-Hamilton. “It’s amazing to see the growth in our students—not just in their horsemanship, but in their self-esteem and teamwork as well.”

The highlight of the camp will be the Horse Show on July 17 at 10am, where campers will demonstrate what they’ve learned for friends and family. This special event showcases the students’ hard work and celebrates their achievements with the community.
