GRAND ISLAND — A suspect in Grand Island was arrested for possession of a firearm after they were located in a stolen vehicle during the evening of Wednesday, Aug. 13.
According to the Grand Island Police Department, officers responded to the Central District Health Department on South Locust St. in reference to a welfare check.
Officers contacted Darla Smith, who was located in a vehicle that was found to be stolen, per the GIPD.
Smith would be placed under arrest for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, theft – receive stolen property, false reporting, resisting arrest – first offense and drug paraphernalia.
Smith was booked into the Hall County Department of Corrections.
