KEARNEY — The City of Kearney Utilities Department announces North Railroad Street from 9th Avenue to 15th Avenue will be closed beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, September 22 to all thru traffic for water valve repair work taking place south of West Pharmaceutical (923 W. Railroad St.).
Both eastbound and westbound traffic on North Railroad Street will be detoured north to 20th Street.
Local traffic will still be able to access the area. The roadway is planned to be fully reopened by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 6, weather and construction permitting.
Motorists are asked to plan their alternative route(s) and use caution when in the area.
