LEXINGTON — On Oct. 1, 2025, at approximately 9:30 a.m., the Lexington Police Department responded to a possible threatening phone message left at the United Methodist Shining Star Day care facility.
Lexington Police Officers responded and retrieved the saved message although the speech was not clearly understood. Police Officers were also able to retrieve the number responsible for leaving the message. While investigating, several subjects were contacted and interviewed.
During the investigation it was determined there was no threatening message left at the facility. Police Officers also determined no children or citizens were ever in any danger.
The Lexington Police Department takes any threats or potential threatening messages very seriously and will utilize every necessary resource in response to keeping our community safe.
