Nebraska outside hitter Harper Murray was named co-Big Ten Player of the Week Monday afternoon by the conference office. Murray splits the honor with Penn State’s Kennedy Martin.

It was Murray’s first career Big Ten Player of the Week honor and she is the first Husker to earn conference player of the week since Merritt Beason on Nov. 6, 2023.

Murray starred in No. 1 Nebraska’s sweeps over Washington and No. 12 Purdue last week. She totaled 28 kills with just one attack error in 52 swings, hitting .519. She tallied three aces and six digs as well. Her performance against the Boilermakers Sunday was sterling, with 16 kills and no errors for a career high .640 hitting percentage, along with five digs, four set assists, two aces and two blocks.

The Huskers are next in action Friday at 6 p.m. at Michigan State. Pregame coverage begins at 5 p.m. on KLIN and B-107.3.
